America’s Best Idea Herky includes famous landmarks, plants, and animals from my favorite National Parks.
I am 13 years old and have lived in Iowa City my whole life. My family has visited 15 National Parks, and we love to see the landscapes, plants, and animals. I have loved art since I could hold a crayon. I play piano and trumpet, and also participate in cross country. I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, and going to restaurants.

There are a lot of great Iowa Hawkeye Wrestling memories. A legendary match that will always be at the top was between wrestling greats Mark Ironside and Cary Kolat at the 1996 All-Star Classic at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Both were undefeated wrestlers and rated #1 and #2 in the country. Ironside trailed most of the match, but he was always a driven competitor, never stopping. Relentlessly attacking Kolat, Ironside was able to secure a late takedown to secure the match. A great definition of Ironsides tenacity as a wrestler and a great representation of what Iowa’s wrestling style was all about.
