Homer Herky is based on the iconic image of Homer Simpson. Homer represents “everybody’s man”, with his love of donuts, Homer Herky proudly displays his favorite donut. The colors are matched to the cartoon animation to bring Homer Herky into the real world.
Matthew Kargol is a native of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and has a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Northern Iowa, and an M.F.A. from Clemson University. Matthew teaches art at Oskaloosa Senior High, serves as a community arts organizer and vice president for Fine Arts and Cultural Events of Mahaska County, and creates a wide range of art that is exhibited across the country.
