This design intends to capture the spirit of the Hawkeye fan, the exuberance of the student section, and the rebel in all of us. Herky’s tattoos celebrate Iowa and symbolize the deep reservoir of love and luck that fuels the fan through every season. This piece will be hand painted in acrylic with brush and air brush.
After earning an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Iowa, Jamie spent a year as a research fellow at the Louvre in Paris, France. He has taught at some of the top art programs in the United States and continues to show his work nationally and internationally. His many years living and working in Paris, Berlin, and New York have allowed him to collaborate on projects with world-class galleries, museums, fashion designers, and filmmakers. Jamie Boling is a classically trained painter of large-scale figurative works. His studio canvases mine the detritus of American culture as they focus and amplify both the disturbing and humorous nature of our collective cultural obsessions. Jamie takes on a wide range of projects for hospitality clients as well, including: Big Grove Brewery, Pullman Bar & Diner, St. Burch Tavern and more. These hospitality projects mainly focus on experiential design and creative brand direction. Additionally, Boling is a founding member and co-leader of the art collective called Paintallica (active since 2003.) Jamie currently lives and works in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.

In particular, we have loved supporting the Iowa Women’s Basketball team and witnessing their incredible talent and accomplishments.
