This scratch art design is completed entirely in mosaic glass. The original artwork was created by local artist Claudia McGehee and is meant to depict the history, heritage and values of Hills Bank. The barns, fields and corn represent our longstanding involvement with agriculture, dating back to 1904. The buildings show our dedication to commercial and small business enterprises, along with our commitment to providing residential real estate loans. Both enable our customers to achieve their dreams of owning their own homes and/or business. The school bus and small children symbolize our commitment to youth and youth related activities, including education and life-long learning. The two individuals shaking hands depict our belief that business can still be done on a handshake and is based on trust and mutual respect. Lastly, the rising sun signifies our belief that in every day there is the opportunity to make a difference.

Hills Bank and Trust
120 years ago, the Hills Savings Bank was founded by 19 local citizens with $10,000 among them and a shared goal to create a community bank that truly cares about the people it serves and provides ways to help them prosper. Today, Hills Bank spans 18 locations with more than 500 employees across three Eastern Iowa counties. Yet our focus remains on serving those in our communities with the personal attention and care they deserve. We believe in fostering community growth through volunteerism, sponsorship, and involvement – particularly in schools and youth programs around Eastern Iowa. Member FDIC.
A favorite Hawkeye memory just happened last night, making Iowa the only Division 1 school in the last 25 years to have a 25 point triple-double by a women’s player and a men’s player in the same season. What an amazing feat!
