Liberty High School

Iowa City Liberty High has been proudly serving the communities of North Liberty, Coralville, Iowa City, and the surrounding areas since 2017. Liberty is dedicated to fostering an effective learning environment by establishing positive behavioral supports and the culture needed for all students in school to achieve social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success. To achieve this, the school has developed clear and consistent student expectations and accountabilities that reflect the core values of “Belonging, Ownership, Leadership, Teamwork, and Safety.”

Not necessarily a Hawkeye memory, but a Kinnick Stadium memory…In 2022, Liberty defeated rival City High in the first ever “Clash at Kinnick.” The 36-19 victory was the first high school game played at Kinnick in over 50 years.
